According to reports, Orlando Pirates are looking at reuniting the pair of Steve Komphela and Mandla Ncikazi for next season but there could be a major stumbling block in their way.
The Soweto giants have taken leave of co-coach Fadlu Davids and performance analyst Darian Wilken at the start of the month and will need to strengthen their technical team ahead of the new campaign.
With the likes of Gavin Hunt, Benni McCarthy, Ruud Krol and Dan Malesela all linked to the club, SoccerLaduma recently reported that the Sea Robbers are targeting Mamelodi Sundowns senior coach Komphela.
According to the report, Pirates are keen on rekindling the relationship between Komphela and Ncikazi, who previously worked together at both Maritzburg United and Golden Arrows.

The club reportedly believe that the duo share a good relationship and similar football philosophy, but the deal could be blocked by Komphela’s contract with the Brazilians.
The former Kaizer Chiefs coach still has three years left on his current deal and Pirates would need to buy him out if they wish to see him return to Soweto.
Pirates are believed to be planning a formal approach but any move at this point could just be speculation.
